So here is the final setlist for Phish’s four night NYE run at Madison Square Garden at the end of 2022 in New York City.
What a show!!
First of all, this was my second NYE show this year, as I had somehow managed to get to New York for the April 22 Earth Day NYE show this year. That of course, was incredible. So I was pretty excited for this second 2022 NYE show. Honestly, nothing yet has topped the floating whale and dolphins, but this was a great show. Fabulous setlist at a wonderful venue, with my four favorite musicians playing their hearts out and obviously having fun. That having fun part is VERY important!
Highlights for me were Waste (it was so beautiful…), Show of Life (first time I heard it live…), Mercury (cuz I love that song and we don’t hear it enough) and Drift While You’re Sleeping… which I swear is as good a symphony as Beethoven ever wrote.
I hope whoever gets this original watercolor setlist painting enjoys it half as much as I enjoyed making it. It took FOREVER but I think it was worth it 🙂
